Mahmood Mirza ( born 1932), B.Com. L.L.B. has been practising as a corporate tax lawyer for the last 46 years.

Mr. Mirza has special interest in political economy, comparative econimic systems and role of taxation in developing econimies.

He has critically reflected upon some of the dogmas of orthodox scholars of Islam to create an intellectual space for reforms from within.

Being a social activist he has been contributing to various leading dailies on issues of national importance.
